In November we’ve received two requests connected with Russia. The first one was a broad suggestion to support the anarchists in Russia after a huge wave of repression after a young anarchist blowing himself in FSB headquarters in Arkhangelsk. An underage anarchist was arrested in Moscow and charged with producing explosives, another anarchist got arrested in Kaliningrad on charges of justifying terrorism after he made a post in support of the deceased Arkhangelsk anarchist. A whole wave of interrogations, searches and pressure affected other activists in the whole country. Ilya Romanov, an anarchist convicted on terrorist charges in 2015 to 10 years of prison, have been sentences to 5.5 more years for allegedly posting a video on Facebook about Putin and Chechen fighters. The investigation in the so-called Network case continues from last October. An anarchist Aleksandr Kolchenko, arrested in the Crimea, has spent already 4 years in jail on terrorist charges. Another Crimean anarchist Evgeny Karakashev (who received support from us in spring) is staying under arrest as well. There was a vote on various option of potential help, and it ended up with ABC-Moscow receiving the majority of vote. We are sending them 269,60 euro hoping they know better where the money is most needed at the moment.
You can support ABC-Moscow any time, the donation details are here.
We have also received a request from a Russian anarchist Oleg Serebrennikov, who suffers from a bad injury inflicted by nazis more than 10 years ago. It still prevents him from functioning properly and working, while he needs to provide for the family. We are sending him 242,64 euro for medication.
